A few months ago I had a problem accessing S-ONE and Moodyz with RoadRunner cable. I got a "Forbidden" message and many of you offered advice and insight but I was never able to solve the problem. Well, I discovered something which has me completely baffled and I would like your insight again.

I still can't access either site with Netscape or Firefox but Internet Explorer works like a charm and I go right through with no blockage. Can anyone explain to me why IE works as I thought it had to do with my ISP not my browser? I am just really curious.

How often have you tried to access the s-one site with firefox?

No problem with either site here as well, using Mozilla on FreeBSD too boot. Which is a good thing, cause they don't make IE for FreeBSD. :evillaugh:

Hard to say without seeing the exact text of the message. One of your browsers may be using a proxy (filtered by the ISP) and the other using a direct connection. If you post a link to the message, may be able to help.

A bit crazy for an ISP to do that. Nobody will admit it, but much of the internet is for porn and piracy. Why else does everyone need a 60Gb monthly plan? For this reason, unlikely that your ISP would block you but you never known.

A good reason not to use IE: When you type something in the address bar, it "checks" with Microsoft. Even http addresses which should go straight to the site. They've got a private log of your browsing habits. Same with Google searches for that matter.

could have something to do with your advance setting in firefox/netscape ...check also your secutity settings this might be causing the problem...just an insight and maybe not the final solution..

Thanks for your input gentlemen. I think I'll just stick to IE for those two sites rather than try to figure out why the other two browsers don't work there. I think that is the easiest solution since Firefox works on virtually every other site on the internet and at least I have a way to view S-1 and Moodyz.

bbenson67, it's really odd. My situation is totally opposite to yours.:surprised:

When I was using I.E (for so many years), I never ever be able to access S1 & Moodyz. It made me missed out a lot of wallpapers which made by their site.:runaway:

But recently, I decided to change to FireFox due to certain reasons, And you know what...I can access S1 & Moodyz anytime!!!:petrified:

Since then, I stick with FireFox and say goodbye to I.E.:bye:

If you don't like firefox or Internet Explorer you could try Maxthon. http://www.maxthon.com/

Huh...some websites are geared towards IE because of their scripting. But Firefox is the best browser because it loads the texts 1st then the pics. Sad thing is that some websites doesn't function that well with Firefox
