I bet you will love Ringo Shiina (AKA Ringo Shena) who has also produced with the group Tokyo Jihen (AKA Tokyo Incidents). The genre is more Rock, but some of her stuff is pop and jazzy too. There is tons of stuff on YouTube. You can download all their stuff with eMule, including live concert videos, which are awesome. :evillaugh:

I hate to sound like a broken record, but can't something be done about people who refer to things and people from Japan as "Jap"?
If you must abbreviate, then Jp music is probably OK.

for Japanese music, its nice to try L'Arc~en~Ciel. They are generally a pop-rock band, but they are very versatile and can incorporate different genre's to their songs while still retaining their identity. They're one of the most popular Japanese bands, so its easy to find links of their songs. try a song search on altavista.
like this one http://www.altavista.com/audio/results?itag=ody&q=L%27arc+en+ciel&maf=mp3&maf=wav&maf=msmedia&maf=aiff&maf=other&mad=all
Try some Shiina Ringo and Tokyo Jihen too (as mrmullusca said). they're pretty good. her voice might be an acquired taste though, sometimes she sings like a chipmunk in heat. hehe
anyway, if you're looking for Japanese music, its easy to search the net. Try some mp3 rotation sites too.

I've changed the thread title to make it politically correct.

i don't know any sites for japanese music, but you can always try torrentspy for movies. If your into hk movies, you gotta download infernal affairs 1,2, and 3. Also The Protege which came out recently, is pretty good.

yep, internal affairs 1,2 & 3 are one of my favourites of HK movies, I like internal affairs 1 the best.
The storyline and ideas in the movie are quite fresh and creative by that time, with quite a number of HK stars acting in it. a good recommendation~!

i recommend using emule or the link that was posted before for torrents. i would check out kloofy.net for subs and an idea of what movies are out to download as well.

I dont get the Randy Chipmunks remark, o well...
I've been checking out http://aznmp3.net/forum/
its got some stuff there, havent browsed through it all though.
Also found this site http://wiki.theppn.org/Main_Page
I like it for its details on artists and it even has a music chart.
But for now, just using isohunt to search for japanese artists that i like.
use google to do the searching
example :-
-inurl:(htm|html|php) intitle:"index of" +"last modified" +"parent directory" +description +size +(wma|mp3) "Japan"
Change "Japan" to "artis" or "anything" .....
good luck :)

New video on YouTube bye them, which is kinky and OK.

Shiina Ringo is hot in the video, but they have a little dance troup doing all the footwork. There is a disappointingly sparse display of flesh.
