There is a School of Thought within Dream Experts, or at least a mystical branch of experts, that believe dreams are actually instructions for us to prepare for death.

OldiesLover opened the door about sharks....................................
Hummm.. I feel empowerment. Sharks are powerful animals who live life on their own terms.
Sharks are focused ever-on-the-move machines... who command their environment.
Sharks are loners. sharks are very individualistic and determined beings.
so since Oldieslover likes sharks - here are some aspects of sharks......
Why Sharks Attack
Ninety percent or more of shark incidents are mistakes. They assume that we're something that we are not.- Gary Adkison, diver ("Sharkbite! Surviving the Great White")
Although shark attacks can seem vicious and brutal, it's important to remember that sharks aren't evil creatures constantly on the lookout for humans to attack. They are animals obeying their instincts, like all other animals. As predators at the top of the ocean food chain, sharks are designed to hunt and eat large amounts of meat. A shark's diet consists of other sea creatures -- mainly fish, sea turtles, whales, sea lions, and seals. Humans are not on the menu. In fact, humans don't provide enough high-fat meat for sharks, which need a lot of energy to power their large, muscular bodies.
If sharks aren't interested in eating humans, why do they attack us? The first clue comes in the pattern that most shark attacks take. In the majority of recorded attacks, the shark bites the victim, hangs on for a few seconds (possibly dragging the victim through the water or under the surface), and then lets go. It is very rare for a shark to make repeated attacks and actually feed on a human victim. The shark is simply mistaking a human for something it usually eats. Once the shark gets a taste, it realizes that this isn't its usual food, and it lets go.
(hummmmm, maybe this is like some men in a womans life - the man gets a taste of what the woman will be like and runs " or " the woman gets a taste of what the "MAN" is going to be like and says - FORGET IT !!!!!! (hummmmmmm.....
The shark's confusion is easier to understand once we start to look at things from the shark's point of view. Many attack victims are surfers or people riding boogie boards. A shark swimming below sees a roughly oval shape with arms and legs dangling off, paddling along. This bears a close resemblance to a sea lion (the main prey of great white sharks) or a sea turtle (a common food for tiger sharks).
Shark Myth #1:
Rogue sharks
Movies like "Jaws" and historical accounts of attacks (like those in New Jersey in 1916) have given rise to the myth of the rogue shark. A rogue shark is one that decides for some reason that it really likes eating humans. It displays atypical behavior, appears outside its usual range, and makes additional attacks in the same area over the course of several days.
It is impossible to say that there are absolutely no rogue sharks -- individual sharks may exhibit strange behaviors, possibly because they are sick or injured. Differing ocean conditions can send sharks beyond their typical range as they follow their prey species.
However, there is no evidence to indicate that sharks ever "develop a taste for human flesh." Even if there is a series of attacks in one area, sharks tend to travel great distances in one day. That means the shark that made the first attack is probably hundreds of miles away when the second attack occurs. Scouring the area with fishing boats and killing sharks hours after an attack is unlikely to bring in the specific shark that attacked.
NOTE: This is not like some people that are out there (hum)............
well more to follow but that is just a point about sharks -

:oy:
Ah, yes my friends, that is exactly what I'm saying.

And if you need one lil piece of proof, just look at how much importance all sorts of religions put on dreams. Do you realize that all of the World's major religions believe that God speaks to you through dreams? Yes, all of them.
Of course, as an Agnostic, I believe they're all full of bullshit, but the point remains, all major World's religions believe in the power of dreams.

Ok ok ok - we are going to run with this and maybe segway a little ..........
**************************************
When Sigmund Freud drew attention to dreams a century ago, he introduced the dream theory of interpretation, asserting that dreams are puzzle pieces of our waking lives. Yet in Kamenetz’s new book, “The History of Last Night’s Dream: Discovering the Hidden Path to the Soul,” he reexamines questions about our night visions that once seemed a closed chapter.
The author—best known for his book “The Jew in the Lotus,” which chronicles the historical dialogue between rabbis and the Dalai Lama—cautions us not to interpret the meaning of images in our dreams through words. He says that such interpretation stymies the potential insights dreams can offer us, by dismissing them as mere anecdotes to tell in our waking lives rather than recognizing them as revelations of intensely meaningful truths about ourselves.
Learning from an octogenarian female kabbalist in Jerusalem, a Tibetan tulku in Copenhagen, and a postman/dream master in Vermont, Kamenetz outlines in his book how we lost the power of the revelation dream to the theory of interpretation in a history that starts with Genesis and ends with the modern pioneers of dreams, Freud and Carl Jung.
The author Kamenetz understand that dreams have a hidden power. He himself has had big dreams and thinks most people have had big dreams, dreams that threaten to change their lives. Kamenetz wanted to understand how a dream can be so powerful, intelligent, and knowing.
When he was ask "Why do you say its problematic to interpret dreams, to turn our images into words?
Kamenetz answered: "If dreams are intended as powerful messages to help us change our lives, too often interpretation is simply a way to reverse the flow and cover over the message. The first dream in the book of Genesis is Abimelech’s dream, where God tells him, “You’re a dead man,” pretty powerful stuff. If Abimelech awakened and interpreted the dream and said, “I saw a movie last night and somebody said these words and that’s why I dreamed it,” the interpretation would undo the effect of the warning. Interpretation tries to ameliorate the dream, we want to feel good, and we don’t want to hear any bad news.
"So there is "oldieslover" case about " dreams " being in the Bible and Religions................................"
When the author was asked: "What do we do with dreams if we don’t interpret them?
Kamenetz stated: " It’s so deeply ingrained in us that as soon as we have a dream, we interpret them, which goes all the way back to the book of Genesis. I call it a cultural reflex—it’s so deep in our response that we assume it’s the only response. In the book, I give the biblical example that Joseph has this dream that he is a sheath of wheat and the other sheaths bow down to him. He does not interpret the dream even though he is the great dream interpreter. He simply lives with it until 22 years later, and then it comes true. The alternative is to abide with the dream, and not to interpret it too quickly. We may miss the really important meaning of the dream; it may be showing us a bigger picture than we know. That’s the point, to show us a bigger view of life, of the soul, of human beings, than our conscious minds are aware of.
When asked: "What types of dreams arise in Genesis?
In terms of revelation, Jacob’s dream is a big one. In that dream, he sees heaven and earth, he sees God’s angels, and he sees a connection between them, which is a ladder…Through the work I do with dreams, there are three kinds of revelation dreams: one is the warning where you find out what you’re doing wrong…there is the dream where you get a picture of our soul, how God sees us…and the third type is where you explore this whole realm of the non-material world, of the world of revelation. Those are the three kinds of revelation dreams in Genesis and I think they’re still real today.
When the author was asked: "Why should we listen to our dreams?
The author stated: "I once dreamed that I was on my deathbed and I was reciting my resume. That one didn’t require interpretation; it required action. I thought all of the stuff I was doing is important, but I was being foolish and [the dream] was a wakeup call. That’s an example of how you can learn from dreams and how they are worth paying attention to. They can be so blunt and so uncompromising. Dreams have an honesty that we don’t get anywhere else. We’re wasting this incredible resource.
The author was asked also: "What do you hope people take from this book?
The key message I hope to get across is that you can change your life by paying attention to your dreams…Dreams inform and shape the soul.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO - go out and buy this book and then we can all talk about " DREAMS ' !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah yes, religious minds long ago knew dreams were a very important part of our being. People were dreaming long before The Bible was written. Even before The Egyptian Book Of The Dead or early Greek Writings.
As a matter of fact, dreams go back further than when we became Homo sapiens.
Obviously, as Judaism became Christianity, the Devil started appearing in dreams. Ya can't forget him... or maybe him... is a her(?).

The belief is that dreams will distract people from Bible teachings and into the agony of nightmares.

hum......................... we have to ponder this concept that this person who is named " BUBBA " has the mental capacity and insight to understand or even accept " Bubba's " dreams......................
Maybe this is the " alter image " of " Oldieslover "?
or
maybe this is " oldieslover " in a previous life ..........................
or
maybe the next life.......................
but to think that a person who looks like this and also has the name " BUBBA " has the ability to
a) even know what a dream is
and
b) understand what a dream is and what it means -
we have taken a census here with the girls and believe that maybe
"Oldieslover" is starting to lose who "oldieslover" is in "oldieslover's" dreams...............................
Yes, this is a concept -
does not mean it is the ' Right " concept
does not mean it is the " wrong" concept
it
just means - it is a concept ......................................
Thank you

Well, Bubba and I aren't anything alike. And no, he is not a relative, although Bubba is usually a nickname applied to an older brother by a younger sibling, whom everyone else picks up on the name.
I am sure you guys noticed the following:
1. He lives in a mobile home, evidence of hidden wealth.
2. He keeps his Christmas decorations up all year around, evidence of his devote Christianity.
3. He Bar B Q's on his front porch, evidence that he loves gourmet foods.
4. He has a ball cap on for a generic team, evidence that he is a broadminded sports fanatic.
5. He has non-prison tattoos, evidence that he can afford the best in body art.
6, Finally, he has the very best in casualwear, evidence that he takes fashion very seriously.
Oh yes, interestingly, he is a very good artist. Here are some of his drawings about his dreams.

There is much debate about humor in dreams. Some Dream Experts say there is very little if any humor in dreams. They say humor is a complex emotion. We may exhibit or feel laughter and delight inside dreams, but rarely humor. Supposedly humor is not a basic emotion.
At the same time, we see many things in our dreams where in our awake state, we would find such things quite funny, but yet... not inside our dreams.
Hummm... This is all very strange.

This sounded pretty good, but when I walked into her house, I immediately smelled dog shit. Yes, let me tell ya, tis babe lived with at least 10 retired greyhounds.
Now believe me, greyhounds are great dogs. They are very well behaved, quiet and clean.

There's a number of things that can disrupt and/or block productive sleeping.

we did see some playing with flashlights..............but they were searching for things..............

As I mentioned a few pages back, often one can have dreams where you cannot make out the faces of those in your dream... yet, somehow, you know who it is.
This same effect is often done with masks, or perhaps distorted faces. But very rarely, do we not know who it is.
However, this does not do away with the well-known effect of... Strangers In Your Dreams. Typically though, the strangers always maintain a distance.
This effect continues to mystify Dream Experts.

If you are one of those persons who think you don't dream, you are wrong. Everyone dreams, without exception.
It's just that many people cannot remember their dreams whatsoever. Nothing. Or perhaps just lil snippets or flashes, which disappear very quickly once you're awake.
One technique to begin to remember your dreams is to focus your mind as you are preparin' for bed. After sex of course.
Simply relax and do something like take a shower... and repeat to yourself that you are about to dream and that you will concentrate on the results.

The dream started out as I found myself wanderin' down a long narrow hallway. I could see a room as a light glowed from it. As I entered the room, I saw what looked like a spider web. A vary large spider web to be sure, with something caught inside it...

This dream started out interestin' enough. As I was standing along side a foggy road, all of a sudden... This really sexy Chinese babe raced past me on a motorcycle.
Well, let me tell ya... There ain't much more sexy than an Asian babe on a Hog. I almost woke up... but I held in there ta see what was gonna happen.
I floated backwards and then noticed 2 Chinese babes on a Hog.
Then a saw another Chinese babe in some sorta uniform... yellin' at somethin'.
In a flash... there was a whole bunch of them.... and off they went runnin... all I could see was legs... really sexy legs...

I looked to my right side... and here was tis babe with a camera sittin' on top this really Wild-Lookin' Hog!
Then I looked to my left side to see this Chinese babe riden' a Hog with some sorta egg lookin' thing on her back...
I was in the middle of somethin' really strange... But what?

But no sooner than I figured this out... Then all Hell broke loose.
The sexy babe in the uniform came runnin' down the road shootin' people.... While another babe came straight at me on this Army Hog!!!
Another babe started shootin' at her with a pistol as gunfire started pourin' all over the fuckin' place.
Fortunately, I felt immune to any possible hits... I seemed ta be just observin' all this mayhem.

Just as I felt safe, a bullet went past me in very slow motion and went right through the tit of one of ta babes.
As I started to reach out to help her, I saw this babe shootin' away while ridin' a Hog... Backwards... With white blood drippin' from her lips.
Quickly, a babe in a white shirt passed by ridin' a tan Hog...
I heard a crash, and in the darkness, a new babe showed up with grease on her face... as ta sexy babe in the uniform looked at her like... "Who ta fuck do you think you are?"
Things were gettin' interesting by the minute...
Please OldiesLover... Do Not Wake Up From This!

The uniformed babe and the dark babe walked up ta each other and some sorta flash came outta ta dark babe's pussy and the uniformed babe grabbed hold of it.
Another babe all dressed up in brown showed up and started pumpin' the fuck outta an air pump... as two other babes seemed ta be preparin' fur somethin...
They were carryin' a bag full of something... then as quickly as they appeared... they started beatin' ta shit outta of each other...
I could hear the hair bein' ripped from her head...
OldiesLover
05-23-2008, 02:38 AM
Let me tell ya... these babes are brutal... they literally crashed into a tree knockin' it over.
The babe in the uniform was takin' a major hit!
All of a sudden... the action stopped as they started facin' each other down...
What ta fuck?
The earth opened up to show a grid of some kind... as the uniform babe started talkin' to this monkey inside a cage...
Things seemed ta be calmin' down...
Yes... quite strange my friends... Quite strange indeed.

This lil babe was scared ta death... I turned to see another babe with her arm bandaged up and her eyes rollin' ta the back of her head...
As the door opened... I saw a babe all covered in mud... but she had this man's face on her...
Some really strange shit...
All the babes seemed to be in shock over this...
OldiesLover
05-23-2008, 02:57 AM

This is a dream I have had every so often.
It comes from a time way back when, when I had this girlfriend who was unbelievably beautiful.
Yeah, she was a white babe. It was way back when I actually kinda liked white babes... but this babe was drop-dead stunning. The type of looks where people just plain gawked at her. It was quite strange at times.
She had long black hair and bright blue eyes. When we first got together, she had a fantastic body. Granted, as we were together, she tacked on a whole bunch of weight, but underneath it all... she had a great body.
I think I've mentioned her somewhere in here, but I forget where.
Anyways, I learned a very valuable lesson. Beware of the beautiful babes... They can be just plain crazy. And this one was... for sure.
Hence, I have tis dream every so often, just so my brain can remind me of a lesson well earned.

If you're ever feelin' sorry fur your sad ass... Ya can always consider this lady. At 3 years of age, she was put into this Iron Lung because she got polio around 6 months before the vaccine was found. It is said that Sidney Shedon, Producer of the 1965 to 1970 television show, "I Dream Of Jeannie," got his idea for the show from a Genie Dream... hence the name of the show.
Although for the actual show's title, he used the title of a 1952 movie "I Dream Of Jeanie," so he put 2 n's in Jeannie's name.
Many of us youngsters from the 60's... Had our fair share of Genie Dreams back then.
