I'd like to ask about username colors.

What's the difference between the brown name (which seems to be the usual color), the green one and the blue one?

I post it here since in my opinion this doesn't qualify as feedback or suggestions. I read the FAQ questions did a search but didn't find the answer.

Hi 1609xy,

Maybe this might give you an answer to your question.

In answer to your query on colours, this is how it pans out.

If Bold Orange, then that means that that person is an actual Administrator of Scanlover. They can do virtually anything. IE: They can change the set up of the forum, ban people and so on. They are also the ones that can hire or fire Moderators.

Moderators basicaly means what it says. As a moderator, you can have a fair bit of power. IE: we can open and close threads, delete or move post around and so on. We can even ban members if they persist in not going by our easy guidelines, or knowingly post underage pictures.

Then we have Members that are Coloured Bold Blue. These members are the ones who contribute to Scanlover himself to help maintain and keep Scanlover.com running. They do not have any moderating powers at all though.

Then we have Scanlover Goddess. They can moderate their own threads. IE They can delete anything that they personaly do not like.

When it comes to the actual rank and file members, then they come in two colours. First one is darker red . These are newbies and will stay darker red till they have posted at least 25 post and once they have been a member at least one month and posted at least 25 post, then that member should turn Green.

Now for some reason, due to a glitch in vBulliten, some members are also being shown as a Blue, even once they have done their 25 post and one months service, they seem to be stuck with it. Oldieslover himself does keep a lookout for these, and manually turns the member Green.

Then we have Red. This is for members that are banned.

I hope you were able to understand what I have explained.

Regards,

tamsalter/Mod

I don't want to confuse you tamsalter, but red is when the user banned while darker red is newbies. Also Cyan goes to the PR Staff.

Wonderful answer, perhaps it should be added to the FAQ
or some other appropriate place. In case this thread falls
out of the radar in the future.

Anyhow, very nice, i'm sure there are or will be many who
wonder about this but don't bother asking about it. :D

Umm... so, green > blue, but since there's a little glitch, we got to request to a mod to change if they feel like we deserve?
Sorry, I'm dumb

By the Cyan color, by what do you mean exactly on the PR staff? Just curious as to what is considered PR.

(Edit) Okay let me rephrase this, as I haven't seen anyone with a Cyan colored name, I was curious on that as I know Olde, Cyan, and etc run the PR department, but figured that should be explained a bit, along with the Bold Blue now that I think about it.

I can't explain that part since I'm not one of the PR team.

I got that color wrong as it is Medium Turqoise and not Cyan.

Only a few members got that MT color.

Most of the time, PR staff are dealing with the copyright issue. Basically, we share everything (related to gravure idols/AV girls/Asian girls) in here. However, some parties (authorized or non-authorized) may claimed that they own certain stuff and those are their copyrighted items, and they may want to negotiate with us (usually they request to remove it or the worst, threatening us). It happened once before and it forced the forum shut down completely for a while back in year 2005-06. Since then, we are taking caution on this, hence building the PR department in order to deal with those issues in future. The PR department is a place for the members to seek for advices whenever they have doubt about the stuff they gonna post in the forum.

Other than copyright issues, PR staff also working on inviting models/idols to join the forum. And sometimes we also invited some talented members who are knowledgeable in certain fields to join the forum as PR staff.

Bold blue, automatically.

However, eventhough you have donated, you still can choose to stay in bold green if you want to.:full:

Fixed.

Btw, the 25 posts rule is old. Not long ago, the forum system have changed due to a new policy. Here's the new rule about the username color upgrade: members have to possess at least 100 posts before upgraded to the regular status.

Thanks for explaining the username color in this thread.

I wonder if I have been adequate to upgrade username color to the regular

"green" status in the new rule. Thanks, sincerely.

Another question, If I found some posts attached under age photos, where

can I report it?

Click the report button under the questionable posts. Or you can PM one of the mods to check on it. (The latter one would be better and faster for solving the problem).
