She's been taking English lessons for quite a while. She was at Nova and is steamed that they went under with lots of her lesson money left. Now she's with some guy named Gabe and is really enjoying studying English. Says she doesn't have trouble reading English in the lesson, but producing it (speaking, writing) is harder. She also says she's only at a jr high level right now (i.e., really beginners English). Says she's doing it every day.

He's not a JET (they teach in public schools and can really only moonlight private lessons), although he might have been one previously. She picked him on a recommendation from Chieko Kawabe.

Muchas gracias. I only said JET because that's the only English tutorial program I know of. I had heard about Nova being a scam outfit and treating its employees like shit, so good riddance to them, even if it cost her some money.

I can't imagine the number of offers for tutors/practice partners she would get if her blog was open to comments. Ever notice she's turned them off? Yua's comments are turned on, but she never updates.

BTW, what did she say about S1 in the prior post? Anything work-related, clues to future movies?

I thought this was odd too. I mean, one of my favs, Marimo (forgot her last name) had a kid about a year ago. And there are others too, of course. I think that Sora is simply bent on being some kind "new modern woman," although I guess she can't see that no one really cares. She's like the new Ijima Ai, despite her saying she isn't. In Ai's case, the media used her and she used the media. But it was like vinegar and baking soda. After you mix the two, you get a pop, and then some spent fizz... I will say that at least Sora isn't the ASSHOLE that Ai is.

By the way, those off-the-cuff photos of her are fine. What do you think girls look like out of makeup? Of could it be you've never seen a girl out of makeup and with her hair a bit frizzed out?

I'm too lazy to go back and check the actual post, but I believe she said she wanted to change her hair color since it had been black for the last 4 or 5 years, but that she'd tire of this color shortly and would let her black hair return as it grew out. Which will leave her with what Japanese call a "pudding" head after the coffee puddings that are black at the base and lighter color above (when in the plastic cups you buy them in). I'm attaching a pic of one that has been flipped upside down on the plate.

She wrote that those English entries take her an hour to write.

Well it depends on what you're looking for. Sora is still very beautiful but there is no intercourse (penetration) before halfway through the movie in oned-927. I have seen all of her S1 movies and it was far from her best.

I haven't finished watching oned-944 yet so I can't say if it's any better.

That's an interesting question, because she seems to make the best of it regardless of whoever her co-star is. She's worked with some pretty unstartling guys, as far as being attractive (?). I'm not talking about dick size. Beauty is definitely in the eye. But I have to wonder how much of an effort it is for her to get worked up about working with some of these guys. I admire that about her.

I'd say it's her attitude that has a lot to do with her appeal, more so than any external factor. I find that her directors have a lot to do with how much I'll enjoy a given DVD, though. The more imaginative the staging of a scene, or the wilder the contrivance of the situation, the more I'm likely to find myself enjoying the eroticism of what's going on. I like it when there there's a hint that scenes have been designed by somebody with a sense of color or of art training. Somebody who knows how to showcase Sora, or show her off.

I also enjoy scenes with music, or with Sora dancing. But those don't come along often.

That's OK. I thought of another scene, though. While it isn't in a hardcore Sora release, there's a hot dancing scene in a strip club in Full Nude. There's a separate torrent thread here for one of these volumes, but I can't recall which of the two has Sora's dance.

These were re-released for the American market as two volumes of a title called Asian Beauty. It's available on major websites that sell non-porn DVDs. Just do a search for "Sola Aoi" or "Sora Aoi."

The volume I found on scanlover was just Full Nude 1. So I did a search on the Internet for Full Nude 2, but could not find it except a single version of Full Nude 1 instead of the two part version here on scanlover. So I hope it is volume one with Sora is dancing. I'm downloading it now so hopefully I will have it by tomorrow.

I do have a copy Sola Aoi Full Nude vol. 2 and she does a couple of butt shaking as well other stuff. It is a definitely worth watching as well. If only both Full Nude dvd's were cheaper or same range as Asian Beauty. :why:

Is the cost so different between the two versions? If so, I'd recommend the American version over the Japanese one. I just like the sequence and flow of scenes better. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it unless you're a fan of horror flicks. Sora's presence is secondary to an overall feel of creepy psycho-drama.

Apparently you see this longevity as something of an albatross, because theoretically it should suggest that people are becoming tired of her. I see it as quite the opposite and an accomplishment, since it means that her career's had time to take root and solidify a fan base that's rabid and loyal, including many paying customers.

Shaky assumption #2: Sora was born in 1983, which means that this fall she'll be 25. She's still a beautiful woman, still desirable, with thousands of fans the world over. She's an extremely popular adult film star who's even made inroads in mainstream TV and movies ; she's not a gunslinger. So why should she care who some arbritrary sales chart says is supposedly #1 this week?

To clarify where I'm coming from in writing this, I probably own close to 70 Sora DVDs, all purchased overseas from Japan, and I'm always adding to this collection. I consider some of her titles to be stronger than others, but I've found something to enjoy about each and every one of them. I wasn't saying his opinion should be suppressed, please don't misunderstand what I wrote. Free speech is something I respect.

I was saying, however, why watch them if you consistently feel, going in, that you're not going to enjoy them? And why do you then make the same complaint over and over and say nothing positive to balance it, as though the releases had nothing else that was enjoyable to offer in the other 4 or 5 scenes?

Also, why fault them for doing a thing that they've done since forever, like showing only a few intercourse scenes in every release, when almost every Sora title since she's started has had that basic set-up? The negative and one-sided reviews seem to imply that these are the releases of an actress who's growing increasingly bored and lazy, and that this is why she's only serving up two fuck scenes per movie lately. And this isn't the reality.
