ScanLover Forum now has its own file server for sharing image sets. Members of the forum can access our new file server by going to the following URL:
http://files.scanlover.com/
Currently, image sets are posted as individual pictures onto the forum. This makes it tedious for the contributor to upload the entire set and the leecher to download the entire set. Displaying so many thumbnails adds a significant load to the server. There's external file hosting sites like Rapidshare and Megaupload that people use for sharing content. They work well for some users, but non-premium members may experience difficulty downloading, slowness, wait times before being able to download another file, or possibly expose themselves to spyware, trojans, or other malware.
So now we have our own file server to help alleviate some of these issues.
Usage Instructions
-If you will like to share an entire image set, please archive it into a single .zip or .rar file
-Upload the file using http://files.scanlover.com (http://files.scanlover.com/)
-Make your normal form post, perhaps with some sample images from the set and or a thumbnail index.
-Simply include the download link from http://files.scanlover.com (http://files.scanlover.com/) in your post.
Upload Instructions
1. If you would like to share an image set, archive it into a single Zip or RAR file. The file size needs to be a minimum of 5MB in size and can be anywhere in size up to a maximum of 500MB. Files less than 5MB should be attached using the manage attachment function on the forum.
2. Only image sets are to be uploaded using the file server. Anything else will be deleted as those files will take up space. Plus external sites would be better for sharing that type of content.
3. Visit http://files.scanlover.com/ and login with your forum account.
4. Drag and drop your archive file into the rectangle to begin the upload. Do not navigate your browser away from that window.
5. If for some reason your upload is interrupted, just drag and drop the same file to resume the upload.
6. Once the upload has finished, you will then be provided a link that you will provide to share your set such on the forum as this one I uploaded for Yukie Kawamura. You can also get this info by clicking on the Manage screen.

Download Instructions
1. Click on the appropriate download link and download the file. You will need to login with your forum account.
2. Multipart download is supported. We recommend using Mozilla Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/) with the DownThemAll! (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/201) plugin.
