Flash based website IMHO suck, too much attention is on the animation (which what attracts people) and not so much attention to the real content. Meh! I'm old-school.

Lesson #1: How to make a web site that requires unnecessarily high bandwidth (i.e., BIG files) and that is inaccessible to over 15% of visitors.
"The website is all in flash animation"
That, and navigation that requires javascript, is just silly. Duh.

Well on behalf of Golden Eye Avalon, the flash based part of the site is nicely done. Whether we like it or not, flash is a huge part of web page designing these days. I agree with the others though that sometimes the flash animation becomes too much the focus and the content becomes second. As in most flash based sites it is also difficult to save or extract the actual photos or galleries for saving as in this site. It is also confusing to navigate around the site. A good flash site in my opinion will use minimal flash to enhance only the regular html content.
