Well, our New Year's Party last night to bring in the New Decade, was alotta fun, indeed.

I've never been a big lover of parties, although I went through periods in the late 60's and throughout some of the 70's, where I enjoyed wild parties... like the one in the Dream Image below:

But now, I enjoy much quieter parties where people are simply enjoying good conversation, good food, good drink and good music. More mature type parties verses the sexual madness parties of my past.

Last night's party was at our business offices, which also include our apartments. There's plenty of room, which one of my pet peeves is parties where everyone is standing around in a bunched up crowd.

Between our offices and apartments, we have 3 kitchens, 3 bathrooms (Never a wait.) 3 living room areas (With tv's and shit), 3 dining rooms plus a conference room with 2 picnic tables, and a fully-functioning (and I do mean fully functioning.) bar area with my personal (And Classic.) pool table. Oddly enough, people hung-out in our home gym playin' around too (Go figure.).

Since our building is free-standing in a business district, and is some 10,000 square feet in total, we have no worries whatsoever regarding complaining neighbors, which is a real plus.

My Lil Korean Dragon Lady and a couple of our Korean babes (employees), cooked up a Korean Buffet, like you wouldn't believe. (But I did the Korean Bar-B-Q, of course.) My Lil Dragon Lady also made around a 100 of her special Vietnamese Spring Rolls, with Peanut Sauce, which is one of our favorites. I think I downed 10 of them myself.

As midnight hit, everyone grouped together and celebrated with toasting that lasted almost an hour.

After midnight, almost everyone stayed and continued on til... Well, let's say it's unfortunate that all of our stores are open today at 10:00AM.

But they close early, around 6:00 PM, so we'll catch up on our sleep, tonight.

I had a "Kaleidoscope Dream," the other night. I believe I've mentioned such dreams inside OldiesLover's Strange Dreams in the past.

These can be very intense dreams by the way, but for me, they're rare, at best.

Some people have them much more often. They're kinda like looking into a kaleidoscope, with all sorts of moving colors and such.

Yeah, believe it or not. Rock Album Covers are Censored.

The first Attachment is one of my favorite rock album covers by Jimi Hendrix. This is how he designed it.

This album, titled The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland, was released in 1968.

But oh-no, the censors in the States decided to use Attachment 2.

Fortunately, I got the real one via British imports.

This is Alice Cooper's, Love It To Death album from 1971. Matter of fact, I bumped into him several times while he was makin' this album, back in my Detroit days. I went to many of his concerts back then.

As you can see, when he photographed his album cover, you can notice that Alice posed with his hand down his pants and his thumb comin' outta his fly. Harmless, hey?

Well the censors airbrushed his whole arm... right outta the picture...

It's: John Lennon & Yoko Ono - Unfinished Music No. 1: Two Virgins (1968)

The album was designed as shown in Attachment 1, by John and Yoko.

Of course, censors really couldn't wrap their fuckin' brains around this one, so they wrapped it in a brown bag, as shown in Attachment 2. How lame is that?

Of course, Two Virgins wasn't the first time John Lennon had been castrated by the Do-Gooders.

Two years earlier, he designed the cover for: The Beatles - Yesterday and Today (1966), as can be seen in Attachment 1.

Please note, there ain't any naked bodies to offend anyone here, just some raw meat and baby dolls.

However, censors grabbed the first Beatles image they could find to replace it, as seen in Attachment 2.

However, I do find the censorship of their Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet (1986) album cover... totally idiotic.

Their original album cover shown in Attachment 1, was airbrushed to the point that there's almost nothing to see.

But that didn't stop the censors. Take a look at Attachment 2 to see what they finally did approve.

The Black Crowes' 3rd album, The Black Crowes - Amorica (1994), original album cover was of a woman wearing a U.S. flag bikini with a lil bit of pubic hair, as shown in Attachment 1.

Interestingly, the image was from Hustler’s 1976 U.S. Bicentennial issue, almost 20 years old at the time.

But that didn't stop the censors. Just look at what they did... in Attachment 2:

Continuing on this rant some more, this is one of the stupidest pieces of censorship one can come up with in regards to Rock Album Covers.

Attachment 1 is the original album cover for: Great White - Hooked (1991)

For a rock group called, Great White, it's quite creative.

Too creative for the censors. Take a lil look at Attachment 2, the final cover.

Even a Great White Shark woulda ignored it.

The censors made'em take the babe outta the picture, as shown in Attachment 2.

Roger Waters’ (Via one of my favorite groups, PINK FLOYD.) solo concept album Roger Waters - The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking (1984), about a man’s midlife crisis... had an original cover with a rear shot of a female hitchhiker, wearing nothing but a red backpack and high-heels. See Attachment 1.

Granted, she woulda been better if Asian, however, a Black Bar across her ass on the censored cover in Attachment 2, makes no sense, whatsoever.

This original cover seen in Attachment 1, so offended the Moral Majority (Also known as the Born Againers,) in the U.S. at the time, that the album was repackaged to sooth their "Only My Opinion Counts," souls.

OK, I admit it, I love playin' tennis, as I've mentioned several times inside OldiesLover's Strange Dreams.

I also enjoy watching tennis matches. I am very delighted to see Asian babes coming up in the sport. (More on that topic, later.)

I've been goin' through a gloomy & dreary period, mentally & emotionally, as I see and hear about all the stupid things going on in our World these days.

Take for example the Gulf Oil Spill, which as I write this Post, has been going on for some time now.

Mankind is so... so... stupid.

We decide to drill for oil a mile deep inside The Gulf Of Mexico, and guess what? We have an accident and can't turn off the freckin' leaking oil well.

After several failed attempts, it's quite obvious than these Oil Men don't know whatthefuck to do, and our bright Government People, know even less.

Over the years, I have spent some time hangin' out on a number of Gulf Beaches. These are some of the best beaches in the World, and what are these numbnuts doing? They're polluting everything in sight.

Matter of fact, as I mentioned in my Tirade Thread (http://forum.scanlover.com/showthread.php?p=849181#post849181 (http://forum.scanlover.com/showthread.php?p=849181#post849181)) , I find myself hopin' a Hurricane comes whippin' into the Gulf, and sends all this oily water all over the damn place, just so these stupid idiots learn a lesson.

Of course, history shows us... They won't.

Back when I was a kid in the 60's, when there were only 3 channels on TV; CBS, NBC and my favorite, ABC... I would wait breathlessly for the new Fall Season TV Shows to start each September.
