Yomirui TV conducted a national survey of 18 to 30 year old men to pick their most desirable Japanese girlfriend. You can find the complete list of 400+ Japanese girls on Yomirui, or check out the Top 15 translated with photos here. A couple are cute, but overall… I can’t say I agree with the taste of Japanese men. :(

Oh, I don't know...although I prefer JAV women to the mainstream models and moviestars, anyone who has seen Azumi has to agree that Aya Ueto is pretty amazing. Aki Hoshino was there at # 11 or so, that's pretty amazing too! (one for the JAV crowd).

If you were to perform a similar survey and ask Honkey men to rate there perfect girlfriend, I'm sure you'd get a long list of boringly tripe sitcom actesses that bore me to tears. Big surveys like these never cater to the obsessively compulsive female aficionados...like us Scanlover folk :)

Hmmm, how do I respond to this one?...The girl carried the entire movie on her own. 90 minutes of intense acting, going through one horrific incident after another. Hardly speaking a word, she manages to convey the horrific feeling of pure isolation in an apartment full of people...being trapped in an ugly situation with no way out, no one to talk to and 5 guys trying to beat the shit out of her...one after the other. The emotion, despair and fury this woman portrayed is not one I would label shitty. It was an amazing performance, and from what I recall had only one rape scene and one nude scene where she kills her boyfried at the end after he discovers the bodies in the freezer.

I'm hoping we didn't see the same film

eviltoon, I believe we are talking about the same movie, and in my defense, I said nothing about the acting of any of the characters. Despite watching the film with English audio, I could tell by her actions that she knew what she was doing (who would have thought a nude model could play this character?). I call the movie incredibly shitty because, really, many things about the movie are simply stupid. Go read Beyond Hollywood (http://www.beyondhollywood.com/reviews/freezeme.htm)'s review of the movie and tell me if you still think the movie was good. By the way, there were four rape scenes, three of which were off-camera, and one was shown repeatedly. There were many nude scenes.

I have to say that this list is pretty much what I would expect to see given that these are among the most visible women on the scene here in Japan.

I know it might be hard to believe, but the criteria by which Japanese judge their women (both male and female) is rather different from that in other countries. So, rather than say the list is wrong or whatever, try to understand why this list -- which I think is an accurate reflection of main stream taste -- exists in the state it does. You might learn something about Japan, you know.

(I didn't make it through the whole Japanese list, but if I may be allowed to brag, I've worked closely with 4 of the girls in the top 15.)

Oh, and to whoever wrote that, Aki Hoshino is NOT JAV.

Yeah, I've already had a long discussion on this one with another member via pm (didn't want to flame anyones sensibilities:p)...knowing my film tastes as I do, it's not too surprising, but I still stand by this film. I liked it alot and thought Harumi Inoue was amazing in her role...and have really like every film by director Takashi Ishii I've seen. But since most all who here me say I liked Freeze Me reel back in surprise...I suppose I should retract my queary why her name in not on the list.

Has anyone seen the movie Shinobi? Yukie Nakama is awesome in that, in fact the whole movie is pretty cool. It's like X-men but with ninjas, or a live action version of the Ninja Scroll anime. Anyone who likes Azumi should definately check it out!

I don't think either the hero's eye (makes everything slow) or the heroine's eye (kill by triggerring something inside the other person's body) is similar to sharingan.

but ofcourse, thats just me :D and yes, that was a good movie. Too bad they couldn't make it a series: something like a live-action naruto. That would have been awesome :)

I am not Aya Ueto's fan, but I gotta admit she has such sweet face and lots of talents to boot. Totally deserve the top spot! Glad to see some Momusu girls up there too, but I don't understand why the hotie Rika Ishikawa stays at 162. I thought she's the prettiest Momuso girl and yet she's below some of her fellows like Konno Asami, Fujimoto Miki, Natsumi Abe, and even Aya Matsura!?!?!? And Reina Tanaka is rocking the bottom... and I thought Japs are crazy for cuteness.. I saw Yui Horie too, must be for her voice.
