i also would like to find a double outfit but i don't have a methodology. are you taking notes on what outfits each girl wears? are there clues among common photoshoot labels where they might reuse well-designed clothes? i suppose looking at a lot of photos in an organizer program like Picasa would help the search - making the task similar to playing the card game called Concentration. or do you just have a photographic memory for the unique designs? finding doubles is a labor of love, or is it lust?

This is very interesting. It seems that certain models, like Chisato Morishita, are more prone to "doubles" than others. I wonder if this is indicative of some kind of "pecking order" within modeling agencies (like how younger siblings always receive "hand me downs" when growing up), or if it's all just random.

Does anybody here have some knowledge about the way the industry works that might shed light on this fascinating subject?

Yes, those of you who look above the waist see that Kaede and Ran have different tops on...her head? (For those of you in other parts of the world, blue and gold are the colors of the University of California. http://caldanceteam.berkeley.edu/ has an example. Yes, these young women and I give hearty thanks to Priest olivier313 for his ongoing and fascinating collection of photos. Many of us agree that we enjoy seeing several photos of Aki Hoshino at school. And all of the young women have both this thread and threads in common. I believe that other scanlovers respond positively to this now-9-page thread, and I would very much like to see their contributions too.

The happy outdoors youngster, below, I have labeled as "Maho Takai". However, she is distinctly different from ScanLover's photo collection of Maho Takai, http://scanlover.com/maho-takai. Assuming that I have the correct name, perhaps two models have the same name, or one found a remarkably talented plastic surgeon. As you also see, Miki Komori gets a kick out of the same brand of underpants.

Mai Hagiwara enjoys comfortable cotton underpants, as does Kurumi Morishita. Kurumi and Miki also know that they always have an admirer in the closest mirror.

Kurumi likes a simpler, everyday style of white cotton underpants. And evidently this is a popular style. Maiko also shows that the style is comfortably form-fitting. Manatsu demonstrates the versatility of these underpants, because they go well with many different styles of clothing. Yuuna proves that the style goes well with argyle socks, perhaps better than argyle socks would go with, for example, leopard-skin underwear. Finally, Mihiro has what looks to me like a slightly-different style of legbands and waistband, but she serves as an attractive role model for color-coordinated clothing.

Youri shares two views of this remarkable fabric. In between is Yuina Mizuki who, if I have correct information, is also known as Megumi. My only suggestion is that Yuina may also want to consider loosening her bra or, better yet, wear a sports bra before she goes jogging. I'd love to join her.

I thought that I would go blind, or at least nearsighted, looking for matching plaid skirts. Then I raised my sights and found the top pattern of 3 strips with a red scarf.
Izumi models this tasteful, understated style for the classroom. Ran shows the value of highly-polished, black loafers. Rika adds bracelets into the mix. A schoolgirl whose name I've not yet learnt openly convinces me that a little bit of lace can add to her charms. And Yukiko knows that her underpants are demure enough for sunbathing.

There is of course more than one side that we should consider for today's youths.

Asuka easily makes a case for blue being an appropriate color for girls. Madaka prefers white socks, and I would encourage her to pull them up and straighten them so that she can be as neatly dressed as Izumi, above. Or, do as Reina does and carefully fold them over. Reina could further improve her appearance by ironing her blouse (after first taking it off). Yuriko and Yuuka model the long- and short-sleeved styles with a blue neckerchief. As you already know, the long-sleeved model also goes very well with a red blouse.
