I agree completely. She has a kind of "girl next door" vibe going on, and I think that's incredibly sexy, and it also makes her a lot more accesible. The AV route was the right decision - the curves she's sporting need to be seen, and archived for future generations. ;)

Now, if Harumi Nemoto or Hitomi Kitamura followed in her path, I'd most certainly die of heart failure.

Too early to tell with Hitomi, and she is getting a little more risque with each release, but she seems too pretty to follow the AV route. It will never happen with Nemo-chan (thank god) - this is swear with my all my being. The A-list gravure idols you can pretty much write off, which means you'll never see Harumi, Matsugane Yôko, Kadena Reon, Hoshino Aki, etc doing the horizontal mambo.

With the recent jumps to AV, it's usually the ones who push the boundies far beyond what could be considered mainstream gravure stuff, so as well as Aoki Rin and Karin, I expect to see Kawase Yuna in there soon (if she hasn't signed with a company already). It seems that these giri giri gravure idols are using their modelling career to push up their "stock", so when the time comes to crossover (as planned), they can command a heftier paycheck.
I think it's too bad when any lovely J-girl won't show everything, much less do the deed while the camera is on her. That said, I see a lot of difference between the "no show" girls who give the vibe of wanting to show it, like Megumi Kagurazaka, and those who clearly have no inclination whatsoever, like Nemoto or Matsugane or Hoshino. No matter, I love 'em all. But is one better looking than the other? Who's to say? I just keep hoping....
