I've been planning on having about 3 computers in the future. A Dominant desktop, a laptop, and a laptop that has no internet connectivity what so ever. The one with no internet connectivity will be one that I can keep all of my vital information on. And if I need information for a moment, I can simply copy it quickly use it on another computer and then deleted again and do a secure erase.
Also, if you have family videos and things, do you really want that stuff to be leaked online? I would definitely want a computer with zero connectivity.

This is what I used to do but I only have one computer now and can't afford to buy another this soon. I've read about Google terminating someone's account for no reason before and I wonder if it's either (a) because they've been hacked into and the hacker has misused their account, (b) an automated mechanism to detect wrongdoing caught them in the net, or (c) someone reported them for something although it wasn't actually offensive.
i.e. did he have pictures of baby sons/daughters in the bath on his account? People do this and while it's not wrong for parents to have naked pics of their own kids (in the garden/bath/beach/other normal places), it could be misinterpreted as child porn either by an automated software or by a moderator who was like "shit a naked baby... it's CP... delete delete delete".
I had a website on a particular free host for years but to be honest, they were going to shit. I uploaded a page that says 404 and automatically redirects to the homepage but my account was suspended and no proper reason giving. This was the work of an automated anti-phishing filter that checks code and bans accounts because of certain keywords.
For this reason I don't trust cloud computing. I wouldn't leave my personal information primarily where someone else can see or refuse my access to it and if I did put things on Facebook or Google I would not rely on them to keep it safe.
After all, it's not as if you would leave your valuables and personal stuff in a locker that business personnel have access to?
.... I don't trust cloud computing...
Neither do I .... the concept of storing your valued informations on someone else's harddrive sounds dubious to me.

I don't know why so many are so trusting with it and think it's so awesome. Everyone talks about it's where things are headed.
If so, then fix your damned security, or lack thereof more accurately, for starters. If that's where it will go one day, fine. But with things like how BIG Sony was hacked and all this other bullshit those guys/gals did, it'll make more people apprehensive about it. Or it should. I never trusted it before anyways. I didn't need them to "show me" how flawed big business' "security" is. I wonder......, if in some ways, that wasn't part of their "agenda", despite that Conspiracy Theory I posted lol.
Most business wants it for more control over us and we will have virtually no rights and they can control us. You know the US government will bust in their pants so to speak over it and will be ecstatic.
...If so, then fix your damned security...
Security ? Ha ha ha .... what security ? Your informations are already exposed by using it.

Yes, it is insane !!!!! The most retarded idea in the history of computing !!!
BUT,
It is like a wet dream to the Chinese Government and other bad ass Governments.

You should take away ass from bad as bad-ass typically means "cool as shit"
So either
Bad Governments or
Bad "Ass-hat; Ass-hole" Governments
either would work here OOPS lol. :evillaugh::evillaugh::evillaugh:

From a business point of view, it sounds logical because it gives businesses more control and brings them one step closer to integrating everything into one big service (like how supermarkets integrated every aspect of retail). From a customer point of view, it's probably something the new generation are buying into simply because they don't know any better. I suspect there's also an element of the classic fallacy of "If you've nothing to hide then you've nothing to fear".
The "cloud" is just a buzzword by the sounds of it and the concept hasn't been anything new. Online file hosts like Rapidshare and online journals have been around for years. The "cloud" is just a word used by businesses to market their technologies. It's no different from the "dot com" or "web 2.0" sensations.
Too many people have too much time on their hands these days - which would be better used fixing existing problems in their business and software than looking for problems to add.

I already know/knew that. That the "cloud" is just a marketing name to say Internet.
But still, the hackers that are fucking shit up now lol, you know whom I am referring too, showed the world how pathetic these business' "security" is and that they don't give a shit and consumers have been too blind and ignorant just blatantly giving them everything to control us more and more.
Of course business' will love this. More power for them, less rights and freedoms for us. And the government is even more in love with the idea. Total freedom for them to spy on EVERY and I mean EVERYTHING we do and know everything. But that hacking and how often people's lives have been completely ruined and some very very close to it by Google yet again due to companies not giving a shit for anything but tricking us into giving them more money and not caring to secure anything and they want total power over us; is showing people - or the smart ones - this shit doesn't and WILL NOT work until they care for security for one. And two, they shouldn't be so sick and evil caring to have absolute authority over everyone, like they made the bloody universe.
The first thing most business' cut is I.T. - or security - when thinking of pocketing more money for themselves and saving costs.
I know this "concept" isn't new, it's the nature of the internet. What's foolish and so stupid is the governments and everyone now doing ALL things online and moving towards that and trusting stupid technology and computers completely.
Guess what, man is flawed, man fucks up, man made technology. You don't think it has flaws. I'm not against it. No one be an immature ass and say anything about "another Christian against technology". If so, I'd have nothing. I just think and feel trusting it and turning EVERYTHING over to computer this and internet that is so stupid. But that's just me perhaps.
Using it as a tool now and then is fine. Using it for everything I think is a mistake and using it to control people, slowly oppress and take their freedoms and rights away is just evil. Feel free to disagree if you like, this is my opinion on it and like most people I doubt I'll change my views as I doubt you all will/would yours lol.
EDIT::
Sorry if this seems a bit strong/on the offensive. I get attacked for my opinion no matter what it is and it always comes down to my Christian beliefs and it like I said, I'll get the "if I don't like something people accuse and tell me it's because of my religion"
I guess I shouldn't get so upset, they don't know me, they just make themselves look ignorant and foolish for not knowing the truth and assuming and then condemning someone so maybe I shouldn't take that personally anymore lol.
I don't think that businesses and government are stupid. They're well aware of the threats from hacking. They would never exposed themselves .... just you and your informations. :bingo:

A different kind of stupid. If you knowingly don't care about abusing people, selling their information, possibly lying about selling their information and not care for security that much and allow certain things to happen, it's just wrong and a stupid act of a sort. Perhaps "stupid" isn't the right word, but it seems stupid to me.
Like if I purposely go do something I don't have too, and know something bad can happen then it does then most would call me idiotic/moronic etc.
Same goes for the governments and businesses of the world. Playing ignorant and dumb doesn't refute it OOPS lol.

its not a question of beliefs or religion, its a question of how much bread you need in your 'merde' sandwich to make you able to consume it...
most people do not know or understand "FREEDOM", either as a concept or a reality...:...:
"For, behold, the day comes, it burns as a furnace; and all the proud, and all who work wickedness, will be as dry grass; the day that is coming shall burn them up," says Yahweh of Hosts, "that it shall leave them neither root nor branch"
iow, payback is a beyatch...
if you truly understood the freedom that you have even now, the pos that plot and connive and steal every good thing from you could not exist...
but you have put your faith in man, and the price of doing so is more than you can possibly comprehend...

You don't know it redeux, but the Lord Almighty just used you in some ways.
Part of what you said, I know was from Him, regardless of what you may think or feel. I won't say which part, it was meant for me, but I got the message loud and clear as I was supposed too.
