Disable and Bypass MegaUpload/Sexupload Country Download Slots Limit

Wanted to post this in the DOWNLOADBLE GOODIES... but somehow I was unable to make a new thread there. So i decided to post it here instead.

Don't know whether this is applicable here.
But i found a way to bypass the limited download slots in some countries.

Just follow the instructions below:

For firefox
1 . https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/59/ -> Install this addon

2. menu Tools ->User Agent Switcher -> Options -> Options

3. User Switcher Options / User Agent / Add…

Add User Agent

Description : MEGAUPLOAD
User Agent : Mozilla/4.0 ( compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; Alexa Toolbar )

Description : SEXUPLOAD
User Agent : Mozilla/4.0 ( compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; Alexa Toolbar )

I saw the previous post for the users who use firefox as their primary internet browser. So, I thought I would provide some helpful information that I got from other forums regarding bypassing MU even when you don't use firefox browser.

Here is the link on how to bypass using the Download Accelerator Plus http://www.shareparadise.net/community/index.php?topic=881.0 . This link has both the client and the patch for DAP. Suggestions are opened to any other method regarding MU or other websites like rapidshare.

P.S. Sexuploader is same with Megaupload so DAP will also bypass to give you the previledge of downloading unlimited, but you can't download multiple files at the same time

the sexuploader bypass worked for me but only after the entire phrase was typed in the User Agent space: "Mozilla/4.0 ( compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; Alexa Toolbar )" perhaps this is the reason for the problem?

That's a different restriction. I think this hack is to disable/bypass the country download slots limit (e.g. the whole of China has 100 slots). I am pretty sure the US (and thus Hawaii) does not have this limit. ;)

Well I tried your method Scanfiend but doesn't work for me but just do not understand why sendspace doesn't work for most users in here :confused: so now currently I guess I have to catch the timing to download the videos from sexuploader if I want new videos. It's ok Scanfiend for misunderstanding the signature cos there's nothing to put anyway so I use CAPS LOCK to type it :D

Well, I took a look at Sendspace, as per OuDe`FeNg's suggestion, and there are a few "restrictions" that should be cause of concern:

1. Files only remain active for 7 days after the last download activity. Pretty short I think, since Sexuploader and Megaupload only expire files after 30 days of non activity.

2. Users of the “free” service face a 1GB download restriction per day – based on IP address. To bypass this IP restriction, you have to spring for the paid “Max” service, which removes IP restrictions, but restricts you to 4GB of download a day.

I donno about you, but this sounds a whole lot like Rapidshare’s method of controlling downloads. If the download link gets anywhere popular, those guys on ISP’s that uses Shared IP’s (namely, me) will have a hard time downloading anything. For the record, I have NEVER been able to download anything from Rapidshare. Not once – I always get the message that I’ve already downloaded xxx mb already, even though I haven’t even started!

Sexupload & Megaupload impose a silly download restriction on users from certain countries. At least it doesn’t seem to use IP restrictions, but the concept of download slots. Singapore, apparently, is only allotted 20 slots. How the hell do they come up with this figure anyway? This “slots” concept at least infers the probability of 20 simultaneous downloads from the same country. Until I applied that “User Agent” hack, I would periodically visit the link, in the hope that a slot becomes available. While not ideal, this is a whole lot fairer than the IP restriction thing used by Rapidshare & Sendspace.

Mozilla solution works...

I'm just wondering is there any other ways to increase the download speed. My average download speed is under 10kb/sec...sometimes it even goes to 200byte/sec or lower. Meaning it'll take forever to download, I'm using Getright...but sometimes the server goes timeout.

for the people complaining about megaupload and sexupload the next solution will help to the No-Us people:
for Internet Explorer 6:
Start>Run> type regedit
go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent\Post Platform.

here add an Alpha Numeric or String (sorry not very sure because I'm using a Non-American OS) with the name Alexa Toolbar with the value of 1.

the key in regedit (so Internet Explorer can download from megaupload or sexupload), could also be "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Internet Settings\User Agent\Post Platform" instead of "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent\Post Platform" (without the 5.0 directory), it's because some updates made by microsoft, but still this method works (I have tested it in 9 machines without fail).
And just to be sure..... this's to avoid the slots problem for the non-us people, the download limit (almost like 1.5 GB per day) is still present but this can be solved just by changing the IP (I have to turn off my xDSL modem and wait 30-60 minutes, so my ISP change my IP).

After that reboot IE (not the PC, just close all Internet Explorer windows and open a new one). And that's it.

Since sexuploader changed into Megarotic, I found out those tricks are not working anymore (especially for the I.E method)...:( I am getting the "Download with Premium) again with Megarotic links.:(

I found a way to bypass the Megaupload limit without having to install the toolbar (IE only)

1. Close IE.

2. Open regedit (Start > Run > type 'regedit' and enter

3. Go To HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\InternetSettings\User Agent\Post Platform

4. Right click. Select New > String Value

5. Name it MEGAUPLOAD 1.0

6. Close regedit. Start IE and Megaupload downloads won't be restricted by country anymore.

My system uses Windows 2000 and IE 6.0. It might or might not work on other specs (XP/IE 7/?). Try it and see if it works. Also, I find that you need to repeat this everytime you reboot (the registry item disappears on shutdown)

The Alexa bypass method is no longer working.

Yup,that's it...i'm having the same problem too...dammit...for IE,the alexa toolbar bypass worked for a week or so,but then it changed to megarotic and bye bye unlimited downloads...at first i thought it had been my anti virus that had blocked the regkey,thinking it was spyware,or maybe the regkey had expired(lol) or something...

NO,man,don't install it!it's just spyware...and besides, faking the regkey method isn't working anymore...

It looks like megaupload has disabled the ability to download with flashget. Just 3 days ago, I was able to download using flashget. But since yesterday, I couldn't download anything with my own download manager. I suspect that they are forcing us to use the megamanager.

The question is : Is megamanager a spyware? Why would it force us to download and install a program just so that we can download from this particular file host? What is their intention, anyone knows?

It's one of their tactic to force the people to buy their premium account if the users are desperately to use megaupload and at the same time the users want to avoid those annoying requirement. Another tactic is where they force the users (who always have limited download slot) to download their toolbar.

So buy a premium account will get rid of all these complicated stuff. It's megaupload's tactic to promote their business.

I actually have a premium account. But flashget doesn't seem to work anymore. I've tried Net Transport and Free Download Manager - all fail to work. I could only download a html file.

Yes, I have that extension installed but it help you only in the case of country slot limit (not download limit).
