Buying DVDs in Japan

I hope I am not going over old ground but I could not find info anywhere here about this topic.

I am going to Japan in a couple of weeks and was wondering where the best stores are to buy Gravure DVDs. I especially want to get:
Erina Yamaguchi, Harumi Nemoto, Natsume Rio and Miri Hanai.

I also want to get Mihiro DVDs. Can you get them in the same place?

Any help would be appreciated

dvd porn shops are not hard to find in japan, just shop around i guess

In Tokyo -

you can find a tons of shops in Akihabara section of Tokyo. Just a very few minutes walk from the subway. Just ask your hotel for directions via subway.

Another section of town where you are sure to find Gravure Idols would be in Shinjuko - the Kabuchi-cho section.

In any case no one will mind if you walk in and look around - just look for shops with DVDs in the window or a sign out front. The adult sections may not be right in the front, but you won't have any problems finding what you want.
Or you can always say: DVD Matsugane Yoko o misete kudasai - which means Show me the Yoko Matsugane DVDs -

In Akihabara there's a shop that must have 7 floors of DVDs...it is on the main drag. You can also find lots of shops that sell DVDs in the warren of shops that yspecialize in electronics - camera, computers, etc that you will pass through as you leave the subway.

I am also going to Japan soon, I usually go once a year in either the fall or soring. The shops tend to be clustered together. Once you find them, your main problem will be choosing from the thousands of choices, not that I am complaining. Have fun.

so showing porn CD inside shop is legal in japan?i mean strictly legal or just no police care about it?

Thanks for the help guys. It was easy to get most stuff as there are shops everywhere. It was impossible to find Yoko Mitsuya.

check out an online store at www.J-list.com they sell japanese AV girls DVD in its original content (no subtitles) oh, you need the japanese DVD player (which they have for you to buy) for those DVDs, cuz of the different region code. The DVDs cost around 50 bucks. The store has lots of neat products like authentic school uniforms for boys & girls costing around 150 bucks each piece of the uniform. One of my favorite thing in the store is Masamune Shirow designed mouse for your PC, very cool little gadget.

i never had any hassle doing it - i was only buying gravure, which some ppl don't count as porn, but i just rocked up to the counter and handed over my money; no worries. and i'm a 6' 4" gaijin who speaks zero japanese.

When I was in China, they did look weird when I bought some stuff. But they looked weird when I bought some nice C-pop CD's as well, so.. and I'm a 190cm blond foreigner who speaks almost no Chinese =P.

Well, most of them were helpful if you asked a question. Occasionally they did not understand but they tried. I guess when it comes to porn, business is business.
I think with the gravure some were surprised that I actually cared about specific girls or about gravure at all.
