Chinese or Japanese girls?

Me and my friends were having this dicussion about Asian girls the other day. Then it turned into a debate on who's more attractive as a ethnic culture...Japanese girls or Chinese girls. My friends said Chinese girls, but I thought Japanese girls. From all the attractive Japanese and Chinese girls you remember encountering...which do you think is more attractive? I honestly can't make a choice now that I think of it. Not like there needs to be one. Women from both races can be super attractive, no doubt. If you guys actually can make a decision though...what would it be?

Going by my life, Japanese girls win the lot. I can't say it's a 100% guarantee since I have seen thousands more Japanese girls than chinese girls, though.

Your average western guy probably thinks Chinese = Lucy Lui and can't think of a single Japanese one, so Chinese wins.

For me, Japanese. Love that delicate elvish look, the polite demeanour and the grace they move with. But Asian girls, from Thailand to the Phillipines are all hot in one way or another!

however because many of what i liked, and my tastes (as well as how connected taiwan/hk is with japan in terms of culture in many parts as in lifestyles), it wont have hurt me if i get a japanese wife (i might be as proud about it as i am with a hk/taiwanese/chinese girl)

but anything not japanese/chinese is a no-no for me. nothing about being racist, but more of not my tastes

As far as which is more attractive "as an ethnic culture", I would say I like Japanese girls more. If it were an option, I would have serious trouble deciding between Japanese and Korean girls :/

That said, both cultures have really beautiful women, and while I don't have a problem with Chinese women at all, I just find the Japanese idols to be more pleasing to the eye - and more often.

In any case, I find that a girl wearing a Chinese silk gown (http://search.ebay.com/chinese-dress_W0QQfkrZ1QQfromZR8) tends to look more elegant than the same girl wearing a kimino or a hanbok. And it's sexier than the other too (although I find it real hard to equate the word "sexy" with "hanbok"). A silk gown can leave just enough to the imagination to be tantalizing :)

Japanese women are the sexiest women of all, dont get me wrong, at my age of 60 I would take any Asian over any other race. Stationed on Okinawa in the late 60's early 70's made me a believer that Japanese/Okinawan women knew how to treat a man, and how to keep in shape to please. I like taller Asian girls so I will go with Chinese as overall they seem to be taller. I have to say that they are both great and I have had some wonderful and beautiful Japanese women friends but they were all Japanese-Americans from either Hawaii or California. Only really knew one Japanese national woman and she was very sweet. I got to know lots of Chinese girls when I lived in Hong Kong and they were so much fun and very westernized.

I think you just hit the nail right on the head. Chinese celebrities are nothing compared to girls you see on the street but Japanese celebrities/idols/etc. are pretty bangin' (not to say that there aren't attractive non-celebrity Japanese girls; there definitely are).

I also have to say that I think in China, you see more 'attractive' girls than in Japan but Japan has more 'very attractive' girls if that makes any sense to anyone.

Both of them has their fair share of Hot women but for me Japanese women are more attractive as to Chinese. i've been to Japan and Hong Kong(still considered girls here chinese right??) a couple of times, japanese chicks stil prevail in my book. preference is still unique for every person.

statisticlly wise in 100 chinese girls ive met about 35 of them are good looking. on 100 japanese girls ive come across, roughly 60 of them are attractive, sizzling hot even.

In terms of how attracive they are,for me there are a lot of pretty chinese girls everywhere but they are not really attractive, just plain pretty and lack appeal and i've only encountered really hot chinese girls on night clubs.
While pretty japanese girls are absolutely stunning, even the common ones roaming around the street.

Japanese girls tend to be "attractive" in the "cute" sense, particularly when it comes to the face. If you look at the photosets of many of the sexiest Japanese idols/models, they always try to project an innocent-but-naughty look. In other words, they are the perfect girl-next-door. Reon Kadena is a very good example of this.

Chinese idols/models, however, are at their best when they project a more mature and majestic look. I find that the cute, girl-next-door thing doesn't work as well with Chinese women. Some of the best pictures of Li Gong or Zhang Ziyi, for example, are when they're in a formal gowns and such. I think those two pulled off the kiminoes better than any Japanese women I've ever seen when they did Memoirs of a Geisha.

As far as just girls you see on the street... I've seen good and bad looking ones for either side, and they roll to around 50-50, so I'm not going to judge.

Like rzwen says, there is bias on this forum because this forum touts Japanese girls the most. And I think it's also because we just tend to see MORE Chinese girls than we do Japanese ones, so the sheer quantity of Chinese girls dilutes the percentage who are quality.

HOWEVER, and I have to say this, NEITHER Chinese nor Japanese girls can come close to pulling off the pure hotness factor that a European girl can. European girls do not necessarily possess a good-looking face, but they have Asian girls beat when it comes to a more endowed body 75-80% of the time. VERY few Asian girls can beat a European when it comes to just the body. What Asian girls DO have over European girls are a more pettite physique (Asian girls are IMO more huggable), and a lot of times the face.

Actually, this is sort of a stereotype that's often encouraged by the Japanese themselves. In anime, the "cutest" girls are always Japanese looking, whereas the "hottest" girls are blondish and decidedly foreign-looking. The latter group also have better-endowed bodies most of the time.

Both Chinese and Japanese girls have their own type of attractiveness. I think although every girl is different overall there's a certain trend in fashion/appearance that is more or less constant, particularly with Japanese girls. When it comes to Chinese girls, well, there are so many ethnicities in China that I wouldn't say there's such a thing as a typical Chinese beauty. A girl from the Western part of China will probably look very different than a girl from the Eastern coast cities... Anyway I think for me it's more on a girl to girl basis when it comes to preference as opposed to nationality...

Makes me wonder why SL has so many more J-babes than other A-babes, and that may be it. Japanese erotica is IMHO extremely well photographed. The guys at Graphis really know their stuff and its an art form. The girls photographed seem (yes, I know its make believe) to have a really happy attitude: "Let's have fun! fun! fun!" type thing.

Erotica elsewhere isn't anywhere near as nice. Isn't the girls so much, but the way its presented. HongKongDr, perhaps asians don't mix in their home countries but they sure do in the good ol' USA. My best friend in graduate school was half Japanese (Dad) and half Chinese (Mom). I used to tease him about which half was which and he said the hairy part was Japanese. I have another friend who is half Japanese and half Korean. The intermarriage rate in Hawaii for asians other than Japanese is close to 50%. The world is changing good doctor, the world is indeed changing.

don't forget about India when it comes to future world powers. It has almost as many people as China, 1.1 billion compared to 1.3 billion, and a higher birth rate (1.4% vs. 0.59%) so they should eventually have the most "votes". It is remarkable they can function as a democracy while having so many citizens of various religions and ethnicities.

I made a trip to Japan and Hong Kong a few years ago and overall, I felt there was more eye candy in Hong Kong (though more school uniforms in Japan. My girlfriend caught me lookin :petrified:).

It seems there are more cute chinese girls than japanese girls on the street. But, when it comes to those top models as we all love here, japan seems to have the upper hand.

I would say about 90% of them were hot. There were many good looking Japanese women in Japan.
As far as models go, I have to vote Japan. I cannot think of one really good Chinese model.

In principle, I agree with you: most of generalizations are rather silly by the nature but human life is too short to verify everything.

They all have great features but also in reality a chinese could look like korean or korean could like japanese and vice versa. Sorry for being a latecomer to this thread, but i would like to post my humble experience. By no means do I consider myself an expert, but at my 30 years of age I have dated 3 Japanese and 2 Chinese (People's Republic) ladies.

The differences I have found are greater than those found between the German and the Spanish cultures that I know so well (my father being the former and my mother the latter) so to all people that still think that Asians are alike, you are not paying attention to the immense cultural differences between the far east countries.

Let me summarize the differences I have seen as brief as I can:

Personalities: Chinese women win hands down for me, they are more assertive and confident, IMHO. Japanese tend to be too shy sometimes for me.

Conversation: Again Chinese women win this one too. The two ladies I have dated were far more educated in terms of culture, politics, economics... you name it. I could chat for hours with any of my former Chinese exgfs, I can not say the same about the Japanese. They were certainly not dumb, but I guess their culture had made them a bit more reserved when expressing their own ideas, too accommodating if you ask me, so conversations were more hollow.

Personal Hygiene: Japanese win this one by far. I never kissed any of my former Japanese gfs and felt bad breath, never smelled any BO whatsoever, never went down on them and smelled something, all in all, pristine beauty from heads to toe. The Chinese still have the habit to not shave their armpits or shave very seldom, and some BO issues from time to time.

Sex: Now this one seems to be a question of personality rather than culture. One of the Japanese I dated was pretty much a cold fish in bed, the other was a nympho... same with the Chinese, depends on each of the girls personality and their chemistry with you.

Physical appearance: This also may vary a lot from person to person, but the three Japanese ladies I dated had lighter nipples, larger boobs an larger inner labia, small unimpressive butts when compared to the two Chinese I dated, who had dark and rather big nipples (coincidence?), smaller inner labia, and prettier asses.
