Alitalia excess baggage
Ok i'm gonna book my ticket back to japan, sadly due to a family problem i've misssed out on the a really good Virgin airlines offer, so instead I'm looking at Alitalia, who i don't trust one bit, cause i've been to italy and they crap customer service!
http://www.alitalia.com/GB_EN/your_t...ra_charge.aspx anyway I'm trying to work out the excess baggage charge, and I can't make any sense of this chart, if i take two 23 kilo bags, whats the cost? |

Yer, looks like if you are flying Classica (which I assume is Economy class) you have allowance for 1 x 23 kg bag of check in luggae and another bag up to 23 kg will cost Euro 100 extra to check in.
If you are flying Classica PLUS ( = Business Class maybe??) you can take 2 x 23 kg bags as check in luggage, so no excess baggage charge. Too bad you can't fly with one of the Asian Airlines. I'm not saying the excess baggage charges would be any better, but at least you'd get to check out the little Asian babes flying.

Well, i'm flying out of Rome to Tokyo, so it will be 50 percent italian play boys and another 50 percent Japanese retired tourists, propper O-baachans!
before when i flew Air China, that was fucking horrid, really bad service, chinese people are fucking miserable, and most of the they're women aren't cute, they sort of lack style, and are very stoney faced. when i flew there last i got a £600 deal with virgin, and it was empty, pritty much all the seats were empty, i tried making polite chit-chat with a cute girl sitting a few empty seats away, "hey do you know what side mount fuji is on?" In a london/estary english accent she replied "sorry mate, I ain't got a clue!" i ended up watching that crap Korean film about the monster, I can't remember its name but it was crap, anyway Virgin are fucking amazing when they have a sale on. anyway to fly the Classic Plus will cost about £1000! my ticket is only £400, so not really that bad. |

Yeah the Business class flights overseas now are terrible in price. Since I'm going to Japan in late January next year to visit my buddy who is getting married and for their wedding I went ahead and got my tickets way in advance with refund option.
As of right now its roughly $1995 round trip for business class. In 2004 it was around $1277, which makes me wonder why the huge mark up? I checked the seating on the 747-400 and it was only half full so I figured maybe its people heading back after Christmas holidays so I moved it to Jan 27th and it actually WENT UP!! So I ended up keeping it around Jan 21st. The economy class is only $895 round trip, its just for a 12 hour flight unless its not crowded you wanna lose your mind, hell last time I went we had like 12 babies in economy which means a whole lotta crying. At least I take sleeping pills on the way to the airport that way by time we are a good hour into the flight I pass out for 10 hours and wake up a little bit before landing Always better that way in my opinion.
