It is possible I believe, if a girl who has a cut in her mouth and gives a man oral sex and if he comes in her mouth , then she could get infected through the cut. Same thing a bloke increases his chances, if he has a cut,wound/open pimple on his old fella, or his thighs, or testicles, through fluid spillage type of thing. Also not a good thing to be a billards player and go in off the red (during period) as too much blood (a DEFINITE no no).
Final thing always have a shower ASAP after sex (no quick sleepys first) cleaning the genitals and groin thoroughly, if you do have sex with someone unknown, even if not a pro. Doesn't mean you can't catch anything, just lessens the chances a LITTLE. Get circumsized (another protection).

Maybe it's just me, but there's something about your comments that makes me cringe, and very glad I've only been with my Lil Korean Dragon Lady for over ten years now.

Sorry Oldies but I figure if you read up a bit on these things and take precautions you lessen your chances of HIV. I could live in ""lala land" and say "Don't worry, everything will be okay" but just wanted our fellow scanlovers to be safe and not sorry. I could have quoted figures but it gets too complex. Hopefully they will have containment medication (NOTE! Not Cure) soon but its better not to get it.

HIV has caused major changes in sexual behavior over the past (almost) 30 years, now.

If anyone doesn't know about HIV/AIDS and Safe Sex, I'd say at this point... they're so stupid, maybe mankind is better off if they caught HIV and disappeared.

Stupidity seems to be a common denominator. Why do people find it so difficult to put a condom over their dick before having sex?

This is also a good cause to legalise prostitution, as it could be regulated and all their clients would be required to use a condom. That would greatly reduce the risk of HIV.

Very true in both regards. It's real simple. Any new sex partner, despite their history, despite what they say... wear a condom until you're deep deep into the relationship and are 100% positive everything's safe.

Yes, HIV is a major concern, but there's all sorts of other stuff out there that can cause many problems, to say the least.

Secondly, as a side note, and I'm not exactly sure where I read this, but the cases of HIV coming from legalized prostitution in Nevada, is very very small.

So what can we say about Nevada then? But whether legal or not, prostitutes can pick up infections from men who didn't use condoms then pass it on to others (probably those who also don't use condoms).

The problem starts when governments panda to pregnant girls. If they didn't get free housing or extra benefits, they wouldn't be so quick to have unprotected sex, which ought to have an effect on reducing diseases being spread.

Unprotected sex with a prostitute is just... suicide, pretty much.

Nevada has legaized prostitution within a limited number of business. The ladies involved have regular health checks. If there are any health issues whatsoever, they are dealt with immediately since the establishment doesn't want to lose their permits. These businesses are clean and very well-run. Not that I have any first hand knowledge or anything, but I have spent a good amount of time in Nevada.

Secondly, all clients must wear a condom, period. If any other conditions are apparent, and these establishments are very good at spotting them, say a skin rash or something, the client is refused service. Typically, forever.

However, on the streets of Nevada, there are still alot of prostitutes, of all kinds, and their activities are illegal, with the usual hazards.
