Adobe's clusterfuck decision on fixing flaws and how they backed down

http://arstechnica.com/uncategorized/2012/05/adobe-backs-down-will-secure-last-generation-of-apps/

Adobe the assholes lol had said in order to get fixes for MAJOR security flaws in their programs, Flash, Illustrator and Photoshop you had to pay to buy the new versions to get the fix.

Wow adobe! They are lazy fucks lol (YES, adobe is one of the laziest assholes in software) they have all these security issues, and it can mess and screw up peoples lives, and they wouldn't bother to fix unless you gave them the money for the new stuff.

Thankfully due to a LOT of bad press and PR over the matter they backed down and will now fix the flaws for free.

Gee.... you want a thanks for doing what the fuck you were supposed to do to begin with lol. I don't think so.

Adobe is just.... adobe lol. <see attachment>

Seriously, adobe is about as bad as Apple with security flaws and how they deal with fixing them.

1. Join the dark side......and start rising the black flags
2. starts learning and trying the open source alternative for every Adobe Products.

I just can't figures out why most peoples choice the number 1 options

1. No, DT, not piracy. Say it ain't so. Their stuff, while it has lots of great capabilities, is too buggy and therefore shitty to even "steal" OOPS.

2. Well, sadly, in a true professional environment GIMP fails in many areas where you need some more powerful tools. No empire lasts forever, something will dethrone adobe at some point.

I still can't believe they're number one when their software is more notorious for bugs than a used up whore OOPS.

There are some other tools for photo editing/manipulation that you can buy that most could probably get away with instead of photoshop. But people are afraid of change typically, so even if there are quite a few programs that can do 90%+ of what photoshop can do most won't use them.

Regarding Flash... well many devs like it cause you can do a lot with it but it's one of the biggest piece of shit codes there is. For some reason it didn't seem as bad when Macromedia had it. Leave it to good 'ole adobe to fuck it up lol.

I recommend Foxit's PDF reader, if you aren't using it already. That's what I use.

well Teddy....actually...in my "observations"....you can give some trusted credibility n that
the one that "sharing" and "downloading" Adobe products "illegally"..
are dominated by non-Professional User for Graphic editing
and these Non-Professional User are famous for "Insisting" using the Adobe Products...which is make me..ROTFL all the time
seriously, Gimp was just one good things that free out there if you just want to make some little tune to your girlfriends photograph..there's Paint.Net and others free photo editing software available.
but most peoples are already fooled by Adobe and can't start anything without them...

No, DT, don't get the wrong idea. I love the GIMP, and it's great and all, but some features certain professionals need, GIMP just won't cut it. I have Paint.NET also, but never really used it OOPS. It reminds me of the tool PINTA on Linux... pretty much identical layouts. Maybe the devs of PINTA made Paint.NET as the "PINTA for Windows"... who knows.

If you're not a professional photographer, you're wasting and throwing away money in a sinful manner buying that expensive ass license for photoshop. I mean, unless you just REALLY love photoshop or like its feature set and want certain capabilities even if you don't use them presently, you do NOT need it.

GIMP is great, Corel's Paint Shop Pro is a really great editor too. I remember all the way back when it was owned by JASC OOPS. Then Corel bought it, and unlike adobe and Macromedia, Corel didn't fuck up Paint Shop Pro, cause Corel actually makes good software OOPS.

Thanks. What I'm been doing is I'll install PDF reader when I need to read PDF documents ... then uninstall it immediately afterward.

I'll give Foxit a try. But since I'm on my Debian machine a lot more than Win7 machine ... the problem isn't that pressing ....

OUCH, dude! That's very VERY cumbersome to do each time lol.

Yeah, I like it. It's been trouble free so far.

Speaking of GIMP... it is getting a new layout UI in its 2.8 release. I'm looking forward to it. I've wondered when they were finally going to do a single window interface.
